Independent Film Screening

In addition to showing films from select independent distributors, Mystic Independent Theater will provide a venue for screening films directly from artists.

We are accepting submissions for screening year-round from American independent filmmakers. We are not currently screening international films directly from artists.

We appreciate the lengthy and costly process a filmmaker embarks upon when making and releasing their film, the challenges of distributing their film, and the fact that there are few independent theaters in proportion to the number of films made. These factors have left a very large gap between filmmakers and venues.

Because of those factors, some of the highest quality films may never have a chance of being publicly screened.

Mystic Independent Theater will be screening the best films we can find. We look forward to seeing your work!
