“Kaleidoscope” is a presentation of a half-dozen of Todd’s media pieces. It includes works he created for National Geographic, some artistic, storytelling works, and his most recent documentary, Ledge Light a show which chronicles the life of the Ledge Lighthouse that marks the entrance to the Thames River and New London Harbor.
The shows in Kaleidoscope traverse the world. They are powerful, evocative works featuring stunning photography, emotional music and fascinating stories. It’s an afternoon that will transport you to other worlds and open your eyes, engage your mind, and touch your heart.

Todd Gipstein has been a writer, photographer, producer and lecturer for 40 years, twenty of them for the National Geographic Society.
A New London native and graduate of Harvard, Todd has specialized in documentary media, and that work has taken him around the world. As Director or Multi-Image and Executive Producer at National Geographic, he wrote, photographed and produced shows on topics including photography, exploration, the environment, world travel and cultures, nature, history, science and the Geographic itself.
Now based in Groton, assisted by his wife Marcia, Todd continues to photograph and create shows as a freelancer. His photographs are represented by agents including National Geographic, Getty and Corbis. His shows have been featured in numerous festivals. This fall, his Geography of the Human Spirit”presentation will be screened at three media festivals in Italy, where he frequently travels and presents his work.
