Producer/Director Mitzi Adams & Documentarian Benjamin Moss

This short documentary reveals the process of a NYC-based choreographer who assigns herself the challenging task of choreographing a 10-minute dance in 3 hours time. Using eight dancers, this film highlights the craft of choreography and the process behind its creation. This cutting edge documentary is a first of its kind, and it is (the filmmaker’s) hope, that following film festivals, they will be able to allocate its use for educational purposes.

The documentary was shot at the Massey Theater at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT by Benjamin Moss, Master’s candidate in the Film Program at Hunter College, NYC. Choreographer Mitzi Adams is a resident of Mystic, CT. Except At Night: The Making of a Dance has screened at Ailey Citigroup Theater, NYC

After the film, Producer Mitzi Adams will share her expertise as choreographer & founder of Adams Company Dance. She & Benjamin will be available for Q&A.
