Mystic Independent Theater is happy to spotlight new regional sounds from upcoming musicians beginning late July 30th with:

Dave DeAngelis & John Savage

Please join us as Ungar/Madison Entertainment and Mystic Independent Theater join forces to present a fantastic Concert of Acoustic Music with Dave DeAngelis and John Savage!

Dave and John are both very accomplished local musicians that have many different achievements and performance experience under their belts. This very unique concert will feature a wide variety of music, spanning genres with artists such as: Barenaked Ladies, Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, and more! The show will be presented two nights: Friday July 30th, and Saturday July 31st at 8pm.

Doors open at 7:30. Seating is limited so please arrive early to ensure a seat!

A little info about Dave and John:

David DeAngelis has been performing since he was 7 years old. He performed with The Chorus of Westerly for 10 years and was selected for the R.I.M.E.A. All-State Chorus for 6 consecutive years. He has also participated in the R.I.M.E.A. Solo and Ensemble Festival for 2 years, one of which he received a perfect score. He has studied Voice and Piano from Professors at URI and he also attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for a semester in New York City. He also co-founded Ungar/Madison Entertainment with Benjamin Barber and has produced over 12 productions since 2006.

John Savage graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1996 with a BA in Music with a Guitar Concentration. He also graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008 for Christian Ministry. He has been a Guitarist since 1987 being trained in various styles, and has also been a Sitarist since 2001. He has been active in local bands during 1990's; he completed an Independent study in Music of India, 2004-2005, he also produced a recording for song on Notable Works Publishing Co. CD, "Working in Harmony for Hearth and Home." He has also participated in a number of performances for U/M Entertainment in the past. Right now he is serving as Pastor for the Carolina Free Baptist Church in Carolina, RI, and has been since 2007.
