After six years of study as a classical violinist, Alan Semenovich replaced the disciplined world of Mozart and Beethoven with a bass guitar.

Following his early days as a bassist for Blank Expression, Out of the Blue, Hejl and Reign and later Destiny and Sunface, he discovered that his musical heart was in writing and performing his own brand of acoustic rock & roll. Semenovich has touched audiences with his emotionally charged acoustic performances in Cafe Aurora (Poughkeepsie, NY), The Muddy Cup (New Paltz), The Underground Lounge (NYC), Club 169 (NYC), 181 Cabrini (NYC), The Red Room (NYC), and more. He’s shared a stage with Pete Seeger at The Arlington Street Festival in 2003. Cuts from his 2005 CD - Caravelle Lounge Motel have received radio airplay.

Notable among Semenovich’s writings and performance credits are the theme song to the film “Due Diligence” and the theme song to the children’s show “Witch Way Out?” for Time Warner Cable. Alan has played shows for Commander Cody, Dallas Fisher, The Handsome Men,and recently , jazz trio...CPR. He was voted Favorite Artist to Keep an Eye Out For in 2002, and has consistently placed as Favorite Solo Artist in the Hudson Valley in Rhythm & News magazine’s annual reader’s poll.
