Aoife Clancy comes from a small town called Carrick-on-Suir in Co Tipperary Ireland. She is the daughter of Bobby Clancy of the Clancy Brothers and grew up in a family steeped in music. Her performance will include family songs along with stories of her upbringing in Carrick-on-Suir and Ring Co Waterford where her mother is from and also where her uncle Liam Clancy resided. Aoife Clancy is one of the brightest lights in fusing traditional and contemporary Celtic and American music. She is a former member of the popular Cherish The Ladies. Now with seven recordings under her belt in the last decade, Aoife has clearly established herself as one of the Divas of Irish and contemporary Folk Music. Ekayani and the Tom Glide Space are on their world tour, and we hope to get 'em sometime around their performance at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health this summer...stay tuned! An evening of musical performance featuring: The international duo is comprised of France's Gold, Platinum, and Diamond house music producer, composer and DJ, Tom Glide, and New York City singer and writer, Ekayani. This unique act is a combination of world-class electronic dance music and live vocals inspired by the spiritual tradition of India. It is a new genre of dance music which combines house music with yogic transcendence! |
