Artist Submissions
Mystic Independent Theater is accepting artist submissions for musical and theatrical performances and literary readings.
If your performance is a good match for the theater, you have several options.
1. You may reserve the theater at our regular rates (under booking an event and reserving the theater pages). When you reserve the theater in this manner, you decide how much to charge for tickets. Your event may be private or open to the public with approval from theater. You pay the theater rates, and keep any additional profits you make. Our regular rules apply, and can be found under our reservations policies forms.
2. You do not pay to reserve the theater, but work in partnership with us to produce your event. A negotiated split between the theater and your organization may be available. We split the risk with you, and decide what door split is appropriate for us. We help determine the ticket price based on your requirements and anticipated audience attendance. We handle ticket sales, web calendar and eblasts to our email lists. Our regular rules apply, and your event must be approved prior to this arrangement.
With door splits you must also market your event to your email list, facebook, myspace and other outlets you participate in and put up posters.
